Zoiper Setup

Modified on Thu, 23 Jul, 2020 at 11:11 AM

This guide will outline how to setup Zoiper on your PC and Mobile.

PC

When you first open Zoiper, it will ask you for your username and password, on a screen that should look something like below....

Both of these can be obtained by logging into the Selfcare portal, and browsing to Luna PBX -> Extensions and selecting the Extension from the list on the Left hand side. The details are located in the "Registration" section. Also make a note of the 'SIP domain' as you will need it on the next step.

Note: iI the password is hidden, you will need to reset it. (We cannot recover this for you, so please do not ask us to do so!) You can do this by clicking on the 'change' link next to the box. The portal will ask for confirmation before proceeding. If you are happy to proceed, click Ok. The new password will then be displayed in the box.

Bear in mind! If you have this extension registered elsewhere and you change the password, you may need to reconfigure the other device(s) with the new password.

Enter the username of your PBX extension (usually P-1xxxxx-1xxx) into the top box, followed by your password in the lower box.

Click Login

On the next page, enter the 'SIP Domain' into the 'Hostname' box and click Next

Click on Skip on the next page, as this is not required.

The software will then try to auto-detect what transport method to use. It will normally just advise you to use 'SIP TCP'. Select the radial button next to this, and click Next. If it advises to use 'SIP UDP', then select this and use this instead.

If all the information has been added correctly, you should see your account listed at the top left of the Zoiper software, with a green tick next to it. This indicates that the extension is registered and ready to use.

Mobile

The process is pretty much identical when setting up on the mobile app.

Enter your username and password in the boxes provided and click "Create an account"

You will then be asked for the SIP domain.

Enter this in the box and click Next.

The software will then try to auto-detect what transport method to use. It will normally just advise you to use 'SIP TCP'. Select the radial button next to this, and click Next. If it advises to use 'SIP UDP', then select this and use this instead.

Once done, your account should be setup and ready to use.
